Capcom announced today that Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO has smashed records on Xbox LIVE, garnering the best week one unit sales in the history of all downloadable content through Xbox LIVE Arcade. The prequel to the upcoming Dead Rising 2 launched last week exclusively on Xbox LIVE, and bridges the gap between the original Dead Rising and its sequel.

The prologue also allows players to carry attributes over to Dead Rising 2, introduces players to Chuck Greene, the game’s protagonist, and includes new combo weapons, as well as gives them their first look at survivors and a psycho.

Dead Rising 2 will be available on September 28, 2010.
