Who's Been Naughty? Who's Been Nice? North Pole Reports Logitech(r) Cordless Controller for Xbox(tm) At Top Of Holiday Wish List

Now Available, 2.4GHz Cordless Controller Blends Logitech Quality and Design, While Eliminating the Hassle of Cords

Fremont, CA - December 3, 2002 - Logitech (Nasdaq:LOGI) (Switzerland:LOGN) announced today that the Logitech(r) Cordless Controller for the Xbox(tm) video game system from Microsoft(tm) is now available on retail shelves in the U.S. and at www.logitech.com for a suggested retail price of $69.95 USD. The Logitech Cordless Controller for Xbox offers gamers lightning fast response with its 2.4GHz cordless radio frequency (RF) technology while delivering the complete functionality of the original Microsoft Xbox controller. The newest member of the Logitech cordless controller family utilizes powerful 2.4GHz technology - developed specifically for the demands of the gaming environment. This gives gamers complete freedom of movement anywhere in a room while also eliminating the "line-of-sight" hassle found in most other cordless gamepads on the market today.

Cordless Controller for Xbox features the standard Xbox button layout, with an eight-way D-pad and analog pressure-sensitive buttons and triggers. Its unique, attractive design gives gamers a comfortable grip that can accommodate almost any hand size. What's more, it offers dual vibration feedback for enhanced gaming realism, as well as proprietary power management circuitry with a 50+ hour battery life (with vibration) that is achieved with four AA batteries.

Xbox gamers are no longer restricted by a cord that limits movement, as they can roam freely around a room while experiencing lag-free gameplay from more than 20 feet away. If the controller goes out of range, or if it has not been used for more than five minutes, it goes into "sleep mode," saving a significant amount of battery life. Press any button, and the controller powers back on and is again ready for action.

Cordless Controller's receiver includes two module slots for memory cards, a headset or other accessories. For competitive play, up to eight cordless controllers (using two consoles) can be used in the same area with no interference and no tripping over controller cords in a crowded roomful of intense gamers.
