Konami Spins Out The Hottest Tracks For Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3

The Most Diverse Selection of Songs of any Dance Dance Revolution Video Game Released in North America

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – November 2, 2005 – Konami Digital Entertainment – America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced a partial song list for Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX®3 (DDR ULTRAMIX 3) for the Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Featuring more than 70 songs across multiple genres and styles of music, DDR ULTRAMIX 3 will get gamers moving and grooving with the largest music variety of any Dance Dance Revolution® title released in North America to date. This latest addition to the innovative, multi-million selling franchise will be bumpin’ with beats from such artists as Black Eyed Peas, Blackalicious, NOFX, and Moby, plus smash-hits like “Crazy In Love” and “Play That Funky Music.” The game will also feature real music videos from select artists during gameplay, and voiceover commentary from Radio Active, MC and beatboxer for the band Spearhead.

“Music is clearly an important element in a music game and that is why the song selection in DDR is so varied and unique,” said Jason Enos, Product Manager for Konami Digital Entertainment – America. “DDR ULTRAMIX 3 delivers the broadest scope of music genres and artists to ever appear in a DDR game plus the flexibility of downloading new music via Xbox Live®.”

DDR ULTRAMIX 3 will also support the 60 downloadable songs via Xbox Live from DDR ULTRAMIX and DDR ULTRAMIX 2 ($5 for 5 songs). Additionally in November a free song will be available for download via Xbox Live after the game releases, the first time a free music download has ever been offered for DDR on Xbox Live. Other pay to download song packs exclusive to DDR ULTRAMIX 3 will be available starting in November and will update on a monthly basis.

DDR ULTRAMIX 3 is scheduled to ship on November 15th for the Xbox. The game will support a breadth of Xbox Live features, including head-to-head online play, downloadable and uploadable content, Internet rankings, messaging and live talk. The game also includes a new ‘Jukebox Mode’ which allows players to listen to the soundtrack with visualization display and build and save custom play lists. About Dance Dance Revolution

The original arcade game made its debut in Japan in October 1998 and quickly became the number-one gaming craze in the country.  The first game console version of the game was released in Japan in April 1999 for the PlayStation® game console and sold more than three million units cumulatively.  DDR hit the U.S. arcades that next year, and in March 2001, Konami introduced Dance Dance Revolution for the PlayStation game console, which developed a massive fan base. Subsequent releases in the U.S. include Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix and Dance Dance Revolution KONAMIX®, released for the PlayStation game console, DDRMAX Dance Dance Revolution®, DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution, Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME and Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME 2 released for the PlayStation 2, and Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX® and Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX® 2, released for the Xbox. In January 2005, cumulative worldwide sales of the Dance Dance Revolution series had exceeded 7.5 million units.
