Sammy Studios Unleashes New "Iron Phoenix" Movie

Sammy Studios today released a new video trailer from its upcoming Xbox Live enabled fighting game, "Iron Phoenix." The first ever 16-player online fighting game, "Iron Phoenix" offers an experience like no other on Xbox Live, with intense squad based fighting, an intricate weapons-based combo system and breathtakingly massive environments. The game is planned for release in February 2005 and is not yet rated.

Legends tell of the weapons of the "Iron Phoenix," a fearsome arsenal forged from the core of a meteor that fell from the heavens into the Far East ages ago. Imbued with mysterious destructive powers that serve as a constant reminder of their divine origin, countless warlords and mercenaries have waged vicious conflicts to wield the limitless power of these weapons. Now a final group of warriors has assembled to stake their claim to the powerful weapons of the "Iron Phoenix."

"Iron Phoenix" introduces groundbreaking 16-player melee combat to Xbox Live. Boasting a sophisticated fighting system in which each weapon has its own distinctive moves, attacks and combos, players can engage in team or individual clashes as one of more than ten unique fighters. "Iron Phoenix" also takes full advantage of the Xbox Live 3.0 feature set to deliver an unprecedented online experience, allowing players to join clans, send voice and video messages and organize their own tournaments. The new trailer highlights the game's breakneck pacing, varied melee and ranged fighting styles and lush environments.
