Game Stars Live Update - 8 days to go!

It's countdown time here at Game Stars Live with only 8 days to go, the show is set to enthral and amaze you. The lists of yet-to-be released titles is getting longer by the hour and big name exhibitors are there in force. All of which promise to host some of the most exciting and unique stands at the show.

Radica are inviting you to experience the public premier of Colin McRaet Rally 2005. You can go head-to-head on the new all-in-one arcade Race Pac experience for Xbox and PS2 at stand B3. You will have the opportunity to enter a Race Pac Best lap time competition where winners will see their names and winning details on www.gameseruk.com  If you want to be the first to buy Race Pac you can pre-order at Game Stars Live for day 1 delivery in October 2004.

Nintendo today announced its final line up for Game Stars Live promising visitors an array of exciting treats at its ‘end of pier’ themed stand, including a fortune telling tent showing a glimpse of what the future holds for Nintendo, including sneak previews of forthcoming hardware and software. You will also be able to get a free temporary tattoo from the Tribal Tour camper van and play a host of classic Mario games in the Mario arcade. They also have a selection of interactive challenges lined up for the show. You can also try your hand at playing the bongo drums, taught by a professional bongo drummer, taking place on Nintendo’s very own stage. Visitors can also take part in a Metroid Prime 2: Echoes challenge, which will culminate in an intense showdown on the main stage.

Atari has just announced the forthcoming European release of Duel Masters: Colblat for Sony’s Playstation2 console in November 2004. The action adventure game for Playstation2 from developers High Voltage is based on the massively popular Duel Masters trading card game and will follow Duel Masters: Sempai Legends for Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance console, already announced for release in October.

In a major exclusive Jolt will be hosting daily 8-player deathmatch tournaments for the graphically stunning game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Being one of the most highly anticipated PC games for quite some time, this is an amazing opportunity for you to get a first look at the closely guarded multiplayer mode. Boasting some of the most advanced technology and graphics ever delivered on a PC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl brings the foreboding post-nuclear disaster zone to life in the year 2012. The tournament PC will be located at the Jolt Stand G9.

Vivendi have confirmed all of the titles that they will be bringing to the show, Crash: Twinsanity, Spyro: A Hero’s Tail, Chronicles of Riddick, Evil Genius, Tribes Vengeance. There will also be a dedicated ‘Crash and Spyro Challenge Corner’ on the stand, where you will have the chance to play the games and receive Crash and Spyro-related goodies. In the much talked about over 18’s area VU Games will host the following titles: Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Fight Club and Men of Valor. Blizzard will also be showcasing World of Warcraft on PC, allowing visitors to play this hugely anticipated massively multiplayer game.

Codemasters are featuring in the over 18’s area at the show. Discover Second Sight – as the acclaimed new game TimeSplitters creators Free Radical, Second Sight combines an atmospheric, psychological thriller narrative with paranormal psychic abilities and intense shooter action. Online game publishers QGO will be giving you an exclusive chance to preview the Legend of Mir 3, an online role playing game to be launched late September. The game boasts state of the art graphics, stunning game play and unsurpassed customer support.
