MIDWAY ANNOUNCES MORTAL KOMBAT®: MYSTIFICATIONTM FOR FRANCE

Mortal Kombat: Deception Sets the Benchmark in the Fighting Game Category by Delivering the Most In-Depth Mortal Kombat Experience to Date

LONDON - July 01st, 2004 - Midway Games Ltd. (NYSE: MWY), a leading software industry publisher and developer, today announced that due to translation issues, Mortal Kombat Deception will release in France under the name Mortal Kombat Mystification. This is the only territory that will release the game under this name.

The official PAL release date for the new version of the world-renowned fighting game franchise will be November 5th 2004. Mortal Kombat: Deception is currently in development for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft.
