Painkiller Xbox® Hits Retail, Fall 2005Bring Some Hell Home for the Holidays
Toronto, Ontario – May 16, 2005 - DreamCatcher Games, an award-winning publisher of PC and console video games, today confirmed Painkiller, for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, will ship to retailers in Fall 2005, well in time for holiday Havok.
The Windows® version of Painkiller has achieved resounding success and numerous industry awards, including Computer Gaming World’s 2005 “Single-Player Shooter of the Year” award. Further emphasizing the game’s prowess, Painkiller has begun its reign as the official title of the 2005 CPL World Tour.
Painkiller Xbox® puts gamers in the role of Daniel Garner, an unfortunate victim of a fatal car accident now trapped in a dark and sinister world somewhere between Heaven and Hell. To find his salvation, Garner must fight through more than 50 species of Hell’s wildest incarnations eager to avenge their master in an attempt to stop an imminent Unholy War.
