Chicago-Based Indie Music Artist "Kazy" Wins Scarface Video Game Soundtrack Contest

Kazy's Song "Choke" To Be Included In Scarface Video Game; Winner and Two Runners-Up To Open for Interscope Artist Wolfmother at Hollywood Star-Studded Event

Vivendi Games ("VG") has announced that indie music artist Kazy and his song "Choke" have won the "Scarface: The World Is Yours Video Game Soundtrack Talent Search." More than 70,000 members of MySpace.com, the leading social networking and lifestyle portal, voted to include Kazy's song in the upcoming video game, Scarface: The World Is Yours, alongside some of today¹s hottest music artists. Kazy will also open for Interscope Records' emerging rock band Wolfmother at a high-profile event in Hollywood this month.

The video game is being developed through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group.

Two runners-up, No Bare Feet and R-Mean, will also perform at the event, where they will be seen and heard by executives from Interscope/MySpace Records, Vivendi Games, celebrities, tastemakers and press.

"We are happy to congratulate Kazy for winning an amazing opportunity to have his music heard by potentially millions of video game players from around the world," said Cindy Cook, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Vivendi Games. "Vivendi Games was proud to provide a new and innovative launch pad for unsigned artists by giving them the chance to be exposed to a huge number of music fans and industry influencers. The overwhelming response to this contest demonstrates the ever-growing convergence between video games and the music industry."

In March, MySpace members nominated more than 7,000 of their favorite unsigned music artists on the official MySpace.com contest page at www.myspace.com/scarfacegame. A panel of music and video game industry judges determined 20 finalists from the Top 200 nominees. The MySpace community, which is made up of more than 70 million members, then voted to choose a winner and two runners-up.

"Giving one of the bands an opportunity to be involved in a high profile game and letting them play at the Interscope/MySpace/Vivendi Games bash is cool for the game, the band and MySpace-everybody wins," said Tom Anderson, President and co-founder of MySpace.com.

Headlining act Wolfmother, whose new album will be released this month, has been receiving praise from the top music critics in the country. Rolling Stone calls them "an epic musical statement... One of the '10 Artists To Watch'," while NME says "If you want to be rocked so hard that your teeth shatter then Wolfmother are the band for you."
