Description
2025 AD, Tokyo is suffering from a huge deficit caused by air pollution and thermal island phenomenon. Japanese government has moved its capital to Neo Tokyo City, a shelter city built on an artificial island. Shinjuku and Shibuya of old Tokyo have been closed off to civilians to protect them from collapsing buildings, and the vicinity has been declared as “Trash Area”. A few years later… In the middle of Trash Area a battle game called “Rumbling” has started, where participants pilot Scoobee, a highly mobile close-combat vehicle, to destroy the opponent, earn the prize and climb the ranking ladder. Since the day it started being televised, Rumbling has thrilled viewers with the excitement of destruction and suspense coming from the invisible danger of optic camouflage. 2031 AD, Rumbling has become the biggest entertainment in the history. Phantom Crash may not be standard mech fare, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. In fact, it's quite refreshing, albeit not perfect.
